Son of Lawrence Wilke, Ben Wilke started building cellos at 14 years old and completed his first cello at 16. At 17, his second cello won the tone award at the Violin Society of America International Competition (VSA), becoming the youngest participant to ever win an award. At 19, his fourth cello won a silver medal for tone at the 2016 VSA. He has built twelve cellos to date and all are in the hands of accomplished players.
Ben is a member of the Connecticut National Guard and enjoys cross fit and motorcycle racing.
